CTE Expo 2009!

Here is the proposal for the CTE Expo, planned to coincide with Back-to-School Night on Wednesday September 30. Thanks to Ms. Hall-Butler and Mr. Somers for all your hard work and planning that went into this! CTE Teachers, remember to send names and contact info for colleges, technical schools, and businesses in your field. Here is a flyer that can be sent to potential industry and higher education contacts.

Budget

Here is a form that can be used to submit a purchase request. It should be turned in or e-mailed to Mr. Pucher (pfpucher [at] bcps.k12.md.us). Remember that including rationales / justifications for the item(s) in your purchase request may help the process!

Recruitment

Here is an excellent packet of forms, information, and data-tracking for interviewing students who are interested in your CTE pathway. It was developed by Ms. Hall-Butler for the EMT program, so the information included is about EMT. But you can easily adapt it to fit your own career/tech ed program. Thanks Ms. Hall-Butler!!

Student Certifications

Here is a document to complete when students in CTE programs take industry certification assessments. From Lisa Tarter: "As you know, students must sit for industry certifications/tests if available. We ask that the teachers in the pathways complete the attached document and submit to the CTE Office. The instructions are very specific. The information will appear on the Principals' Dashboard. We need the information submitted once a month since students will test at various times in the schools. Thanks"

Here is an employee leave request form. It was originally for SkillsUSA but may be used for other purposes. Even though it says Baltimore County, this was given to us by folks from Baltimore City.
